Derek is proud to be a native of Sacramento. He built a strong foundation through his deep knowledge of local wineries and hands-on experience at the renowned Leatherby’s Family Creamery before completing his undergraduate studies. Graduating with a B.S. on the Dean’s List from California State University, Sacramento, Derek went on to earn his law degree with distinction from McGeorge School of Law in 2009. He remains dedicated to his community by representing local private and public entities in variety of lawsuits, focused primarily on employment and education law.
