  • Porter Scott Summer Associate Program

    Our Summer Associate Program is designed to give law students a genuine look into life at a civil litigation firm and provide hands-on experience that builds real skills. Over the course of the program, summer associates gain exposure to a wide range of practice areas and the day-to-day work of our attorneys, including:

    · Conducting legal research and drafting memos, pleadings, and discovery responses

    · Reviewing documents and assisting with case preparation

    · Attending depositions, hearings, mediations, client meetings, and strategy discussions

    · Participating in firm-wide activities that encourage connection with attorneys and staff across teams

    Each summer associate is paired with attorney mentors—both a partner and an associate—who help coordinate assignments, provide guidance, and ensure a balanced workload. Mentorship is a central part of who we are, and we make sure summer associates work with a variety of attorneys so they can explore different practice areas and build strong relationships throughout the firm.

You will be trusted with substantive assignments and have the opportunity to learn from experienced attorneys who are committed to teaching, collaboration, and practical skill development.
