Porter Scott Obtains Defense Verdict for City of Roseville

Shareholder Will Camy and Associate Megan Boelter recently obtained a defense verdict on behalf of the City of Roseville. The City’s garbage truck reversed into Plaintiff’s vehicle. There was dispute about the severity of the accident. After the incident, Plaintiff received substantial treatment for her neck that resulted in the implantation of a spinal cord stimulator. The City contended that Plaintiff had a pre-existing neck issue and thus her post-incident treatment and all claimed future care was not caused by the accident. Plaintiff asked the jury to award more than $2.75 million. The jury found Plaintiff was not harmed in the subject accident and awarded her $0.
