Sacramento Magazine Features Nancy Sheehan & Jennifer Duggan
The two most senior women at Porter Scott, Sacramento’s largest litigation firm, provide powerful legal representation to a wide variety of Northern California clients. Nancy Sheehan defended her first sexual harassment case before a jury more than 20 years ago. Since then she has become one of the most experienced employment trial attorneys in the state, handling cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. She was recently named one of the top 50 women attorneys in Northern California. Nancy became a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 1999, an organization that includes the nation’s best trial attorneys, and is the President of its Sacramento Valley Chapter this year. Jennifer Duggan has spent her career at Porter Scott and became a firm shareholder in 2002. Her practice focuses on business, unfair business practices/trade secret, real estate and employment litigation. The firm benefits from her active role in management, including attorney hiring, professional development and marketing. She serves as an adjunct professor at Pacific McGeorge and volunteers in the Sacramento community, most recently serving on Sacramento’s No Glass Ceiling Task Force and the Bar Association’s Diversity Hiring and Retention Committee. She also enjoys devoting time to her children’s school in Arden Park.
