UC Davis Title IX Compliance on Trial
On June 16th, the Davis Enterprise newspaper reported on closing arguments given in the trial of Mansourian, et. al. v. Regents of the University of California, et. al. The case, which involves unique issues pertaining to accommodation of athletic interests under Title IX and alleged gender discrimination, is pending before the Hon. Judge Frank C. Damrell Jr. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. Nancy Sheehan and David Burkett of Porter Scott represent the University and four individual defendants. A decision is expected by the end of July.
