A. Irving Scott
Retired
Mr. Scott is one of four founding members of Porter Scott (formerly Porter Scott Weiberg & Delehant). A Sacramento native, Mr. Scott attended Bishop Armstrong (now Christian Brothers) High School. He then attended Santa Clara University and later returned to Sacramento to attend McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Scott graduated from McGeorge in 1969 cum laude and as class valedictorian.
During his 30 years as a litigator, Mr. Scott was elected by his peers to be a Diplomat of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He also served as ABOTA Sacramento Chapter President in 1994 and was conferred the Civility Award in 1995. Mr. Scott was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was named a California Super Lawyer in 2006. Mr. Scott is now retired.
